Cool Scandinavian Kitchens
I've been busy blogging for HomeGoods, that's where I've been! Today is the last day of that assignment. They have very good bloggers there, with endless great tips, and it was fun to be part of it. So, here we go again...!
YOU know where to go when you want to see some real, honest, Scandinavian kitchens, right? Right here! Well, I have a treat for you. Peder and Lotte, family members from Denmark, are here visiting for 2 weeks. They had strict instructions to BRING ME MAGAZINES, AS MANY AS YOU CAN CARRY! Of course, with those strict instructions, I end up getting only about 4, but that's ok, I'll take them!!
Without further ado, let's take a look...oh, before I go, I've spent a bit of time, just a bit, in our apartment in the city in the past few weeks. When there, I always get lots of awesome magazines, so I think we're going to be looking at some very hot kitchens in the weeks ahead, so check back. Good?

Sorry but I have to say I think they look Ikeaish. and cold.You would think up there they would something warm.
oh hooray for that purple kitchen! Susan, while I love white kitchens......I would love to see some kitchens where people take a few more risks. People seem to take risks with all the other spaces of their house but the kitchen.........well...not so much. In these sad economic times, I am all for fun kitchens! Any possibilities for a post?
I welcome any input regarding a log cabin kitchen. A recent extragance has given me the opportunity to rebuild two pre Civil War log cabins from the ground up. The design of everything but the kitchen is clear.
Hanging cabinets on the walls and jamming in new metal and enamal appliances seems offensive. That is one reason your Scandanavian kitchens were so interesting. They lack that Home Depot look. What I've been considering is used furniture such as old dry goods store wooden counters so the kitchen looks cobbled together from left-overs. But how do I hide the frig and other modern necessities? Suggestions welcomed. Ann
