KBIS 2008 Trends - It's a Mod Mod Mod Mod World!
FIRST, a big WOW to being named blog of the week by none other than The Washington Post! My blogging buddy, Joni, from Cote de Texas told me the news. The other blog pick of the week was So Haute, a good find. Back to you...
For those of you way too young to remember this movie, if not a mad world, it was a mod one at KBIS. Here are some examples, certainly not all, and to see the brand, roll your mouse over the image. MUCH more KBIS to come (this is nothing!) We haven't even seen kitchens yet!

I love that green polka-dotty backsplash and the pretty cabinets next to them. I love all the mod kitchens. Not for my big old Victorian, but they are fun to look at.

On today's entry, which company has the display of wall panels and which company manufacturers the tile with the metal circles embedded? For someone beginning the remodel of a small galley kitchen, your site is an exciting and amazing find. Thank you for all the work you put into it.
Jean...yes, I liked that too. I know there's a resource that I'll come across if anyone's intrested. And, yes, not sure it's for the Victorian, depends on the interpretation! Oh, I have to get that issue. Cool!
Well, maybe I am...my college son, today, fresh out of the years of thinking how SO out of touch and clueless I am, told me I am a ROCK STAR (because of the Washington Post thing.) I said, coming from you, I guess I am! I'll take it for today...tomorrow is another day.

The panels are Interlam. http://www.interlam-design.com/Art_Product_Search.cfm I'm not sure how green a product it is. At the show, they were shown in that size to be shown as doors for cabinets. I do believe they can be made in any size for general decorative panels on a wall, etc.
The circled tiles are by Walker Zanger, and I remember the person who walked me around the booth said, I think, they were...I'm cringing a bit here...about $400-$500 a square foot. I'm quite sure of that figure.

I am also in love with the green polka-dotty backsplash. Really original! KBIS seems fabulous this year.
The 3D tiles look pretty awesome. I would think twice before putting a relief / embossed tiles behind the stove. I do not enjoy cleaning; therefore I only go for easy to clean surfaces.
