So, I've been writing this blog for almost eight months now and I've only touched the tip of the iceberg. I've enjoyed much positive feedback. I want this blog to have substance, not just pretty pictures, and I want to share my thoughts with you on the broad and often complex topic of kitchen design and being a kitchen designer. At this point, I'd like to pause and hear from you! Tell me what you think, I want to know! If you have more then one answer, please comment too!
Update: I'm watching what you want, thank you for the feedback! More emphasis on kitchen images to come. I'm relieved you like the Scandinavian kitchens...just wait till you see what I have to show you! More of what you are asking for, keep voting...
Hey Susan! You must be saying something right. You crack me up with option # 1 "you talk toooo much". Do you really think so? A blogger who doesn't have anything to say is, well, boring. And you are far from that. Keep up the writing, and the talking, keep up the Scandinavian, keep up the mod and trendy, (after all, we have to dream if we got no $$), Keep up the fabulous work dahling! Laurie ;-)
Wow...I can't believe it's only been 8 months. Very impressive to watch your "overnight" rise to stardom, within the blogosphere and beyond.
I enjoy the high-end kitchens best, both mod/trendy and traditional. Unique details, materials and new products (i.e. inserts, accessories, appliances, etc.) are most interesting to me.
I enjoy your thoughts on process as well, being a business focused systems guy.
I'm not so goosed by the Scandinavian, but that is strictly my personal taste talkin'.
I tend to read short to medium posts more often. Long post usually get passed over, only because of my lack of time online (you know...new Dad and all). My rule for blogs and email "forwards" is, if I can't see the bottom of the message on my screen, it's too long. With that said, a sexy headline might seduce me into reading beyond the fold.
I truly enjoy reading your thoughts and ideas. The Kitchen Designer blog is usually my first stop each night on my long list of reads. Keep up the great work and much success to you into the future.
I love your blog. I read every post. This is so nitpicky, but your header is really tall and it looks great, but it takes up my whole screen and sometimes I can't see the posts below it, especially in an RSS feeder. Maybe it would be good to make it shorter. Just a suggestion. Feel free to give feedback about our blog as well. Thanks. :)
Laurie...you know how I can go on and on! The funny thing is about me, when in a conversation, I'm a very good listener, but, give me a keyboard and I don't stop. You're also doing good things, check out Laurie's blog!
Mark...you're so nice, thank you for your kind words. Do I take you to mean that it seems like forever that you've been reading my blog? Am I boring you that much? ;-) That's what I like about you, that you're business focused too, in terms of tweaking your services, the clients' needs, experience, that's what I get from you, often. I will tell you that sexy titles are NOT my thing...I take long enough on the content, when it comes to the title, I do it probably much too quickly! Enjoy these precious moments with your new baby.
Thanks Dean! Appreciate your stopping by to make that comment, that was nice.
Jennifer, I'll tell you, I love your comments, they give me the stroking I need, always. :-) You know, I had a short header and then went back to a tall one. Maybe I should rethink. Your focus is good, and "NOW", on green kitchens and baths, the only one out there. You approach it from many angles, which is helpful!
